View of Liverpool waterfront from Shorefields Cliffs
New Ferry, Rock Ferry and Tranmere are all urban parts of eastern Wirral; Tranmere especially has a high density of affordable housing, with large investments in property development continuing to see the areas grow and expand. All areas have historical links with port and shipping services with Cammell Laird Shipyard close by, while there are a number of Victorian-style houses to discover. Rock Ferry and New Ferry got their names from the ferry service offered by both in the 1700s, and have since evolved into thriving local communities.
